Selling piglets is easy, traders say. That the Dutch pig prices after a stable period, the demand will only improve. Not only domestic demand, but also exports are picking up, according to traders.
Rising piglet prices are therefore not surprising. In Spain, prices rose from €2 to €44 per kilo last week. In Germany, the VEZG quotation has risen to €60 per piglet. The DCA BestPigletPrice is also taking another big step this week. The quotation increases by €2 to €53 per kilo.
