Tönnies sees opportunities in the US and settles down in Chicago

Tönnies has opened a sales office in Chicago. The German slaughter giant hopes to be able to leave a mark on the American meat market with this.

Tönnies identifies great opportunities in the United States and Canada, but reports that meat prices there are much lower than in Germany and the rest of Europe. "With our own sales office, we can better serve the market in North America," says board member Frank Duffe.
