How are pig prices mutating in Europe?
Since week 11, the German price comparison has shown almost consecutive falling prices in all major European pig countries. This week, only the two leading countries in the rankings are falling: Denmark and Spain. The ranking of the price comparison has not changed this week.
The Danish price drops by 4 cents to €1,99 and the Spanish price drops by 3 cents to €1,91. This means they remain in the lead, but they are catching up with Germany, which is in third place with an unchanged price of €1,84 per kilo. Prices in the countries that rank below Germany also remain unchanged, meaning that France retains fourth place, with the Netherlands and Belgium in fifth and sixth place.
