Due to negative market developments, DCA-Markets has decided to lower the DCA Stock Price for the current week.
With the unchanged quotation of last Friday it was already noted that the listing might be revoked this week. Today's slaughterhouse quotations (Wednesday, March 8) indicate this.
Lower slaughterhouse quotations
For example, Van Rooi and Westfort have both lowered the quotation by 5 cents to €1,65 per kilo. Compaxo even shaves 8 cents off the price to €1,62. The Pali Group and Gosschalk also reduced their purchasing prices.
The sluggish meat sales, due to the corona measures, and the cancellation of a slaughter day at Easter come together somewhat unfortunately and increase the pressure on the pig price.
The DCA Exchange Price 2.0 for slaughtered pigs drops by 5 cents to €1,72 per kilo. The price of live pigs drops by 4 cents to €1,38 per kilo.
Explanation of DCA Markets:
Last Friday, DCA-Markets provisionally determined the DCA Exchange Price 2.0 (Exchange Price). With the reservation that, if there is reason to do so, the published Stock Price for today 20.00 p.m. will be redetermined. This is in view of the uncertain market situation. This situation prompted us to ask the price panel for advice. This has led to the Stock Exchange Price being determined retroactively as follows. For live pigs the change is minus €0,04 and the quotation is €1,38 and for slaughtered pigs minus €0,05 and the quotation is €1,72. This quotation applies to pigs delivered in the period from Sunday, April 5, 2020, 00:00 AM to Saturday, April 11, 2020, 23:59 PM.
