DCA Scholarship price final to minus 5

16 September 2020 - Wouter Baan

The price decrease on the Dutch pig market is not too bad, which means that the provisional drop of 5 cents in the DCA Stock Price can remain.

There where Vion at the beginning of this week with 8 cents reduced, Compaxo and Van Rooi keep it at minus 5. The quotations of both slaughterhouses amount to €1,26 and €1,27 per kilo respectively. In the context of the tense market situation, the reductions are not too bad.

All the more so because the German VEZG quotation does not fall any further and remains at €1,27 per kilo, although the minus 20 last week is still echoing for a while. Tension in the German market is still to die for. That there are conversations with China to apply exports only regionally (State of Brandenburg) offers a glimmer of hope.

Minus 5 remains
The DCA Stock Price was provisionally set on Friday evening at a reduction of 5 cents by €1,34 per kilo. The price of live pigs fell by 4 cents to €1,05. Based on discussions with the advisory committee, it has been decided to permanently leave the listing for this week.
