Despite the fact that slightly more pigs have been slaughtered in Germany, there are still insufficient opportunities to change prices. The average slaughter weights also increase slightly (plus 100 grams). What does the difficult German pig market mean for the Netherlands...
Little seems to change in the pig market, it lingers and strangles. Finding sales remains a difficult process. The situation in Germany surrounding the African swine fever (ASF) is steadily muddled. The number of infections among wild boars is slowly increasing, and the number of confirmed cases has now passed 100. Pig prices
Pig prices in the main pig countries in Europe are quite stable. The authoritative German VEZG quotation remained unchanged again on Wednesday at €1,27. The German ISN price comparison also generally shows only stable prices. Only the Spanish pig price fell this week, by €0,01 to €1,70.
DCA Scholarship Price 2.0
Stability also characterizes the DCA Scholarship Award 2.0. Only a few have the will to increase the pig prices. Most traders are puzzling and suffocating to at least have to move fewer pigs at the end of a new week. Circumstances that are often beyond the control of the trade mean that little is achieved in practice, such as disruptions in the processing of so many heavy pigs. An attempt to mutate is therefore considered to have no chance in advance. For week 45, the quotation for slaughtered pigs is €1,34 per kilo of slaughtered weight, for live pigs the price remains at €1,04 per kilo of live weight after deduction of tare.
