The DCA Stock Price already suffered considerably last Friday from the persistently difficult market conditions. The quotation for slaughtered pigs fell by €0,05 to €1,20 per kilo. The price of slaughtered pigs also fell from €0,05 to €0,90. Vion even reduces this week by 7 cents to €1,32 per kilo, including VAT.

Therefore, the piglet price cannot be avoided. The DCA BestPigletPrice returns €1,50 this week and amounts to €20 per piglet. A record low. In the past 3 weeks the quote has fallen by €3,50. In Germany, the piglet price has remained stable in recent weeks, but the VEZG quotation has fallen this week by no less than €5 to €22 per piglet. In Denmark the price also drops by €3,75 to €26,85.

Outlook still cloudy
The European pig and piglet markets have fallen sharply in recent weeks and there is no prospect of recovery. Germany is still unable to export outside Europe due to African swine fever (ASF). The pressure on meat prices is great, as is evident from the changes of DCA Markets. The hams, middles and bellies suffer considerably. The range is extremely large. Many traders are faced with oversupply of many couples. With December ahead of us (loss of slaughter days), challenging weeks are ahead.
