The piglet market is currently characterized by good demand and the piglet price could therefore rise sharply. Last week the DCA BestPigletPrice already started a significant increase and this week the listing is also gaining traction.
The trade in piglets is running smoothly, the demand is good and the supply is not too large. Not only do domestic sales continue smoothly, the export demand is also good.
Many traders are therefore opting for a significant increase this week. The DCA BestPigletPrice already took a good step up last week, but this week the listing takes an even bigger step. The quotation increases by €2,50 to €34 per piglet. Prices are also on the rise elsewhere in Europe. The German VEZG quotation has increased this week by €2 to €32,50 and in Denmark the piglet price has risen no less than €41,70.
Highest price since July
