The German pig price has skyrocketed in recent weeks. This week, however, the listing is slamming on the brakes and there is a moment of rest.
The pig price is stable at €1,50 per kilo. Given the significant jumps that the listing has made, a sideways movement is not entirely unexpected. The pig price still has some catching up to do and it is expected that the price increase will continue. This week's stability is mainly seen as a small break.
The DCA Stock Exchange Price 2.0 increased last Friday by €0,11. Vion saw more room for an increase and an increase of no less than €0,12. Compaxo follows Vion's example and is making an equal increase today. Other major players have yet to announce prices, but such an increase is also expected.
European prices
The pig prices of the largest European players have also managed to rise in recent weeks. The Spanish pig price is head and shoulders above the German ISN comparison. At a price of €1,79, the quotation is no less than €0,19 above the Danish price, which ranks second in the comparison. The prices of the other countries are less far apart.
