The mood on the piglet market is not very good for the time being. Little has changed compared to last week. What does the DCA BestPigletPrice do?
The demand for piglets is clearly not high. This is partly due to the fact that the pork supply is still very extensive. Supply also increased again in Germany due to the cancellation of slaughter days around Easter. The market hoping for good barbecue weather for extra impulses.
The piglet market is therefore currently in a quiet phase. Demand from both home and abroad is declining. Where there used to be a piglet shortage, this is no longer the case.
No increase or decrease
Nevertheless, the DCA BestPigletPrice remains stable. Traders do not opt for increases or decreases. This again means an unchanged piglet price of €52,50 per piglet. This means that the quotation remains stable for the fourth week in a row.
