The DCA BestPigletPrice remained stable for a long time, but following the Beursprijs 2.0, the piglet price is now also declining.
In recent weeks, the DCA BestPigletPrice remained stable at €52,50 per piglet - although there was a changing sentiment. Sales are slower than before, partly due to declining export demand. Nevertheless, the piglet price has been able to maintain its sideways course in recent weeks.
Last Friday the Stock Exchange Price 2.0 was lowered after a period of stability. The pork supply is ample and the barbecue temperatures that the market had hoped for have not materialized.
BestPigletPrice does not maintain price levels
Following on from the Beursprijs 2.0, the DCA BestPigletPrice is also dropping this week. Sales are under pressure and individual couples are difficult to place.
The quotation drops by €4 to €48,50 per piglet. This marks the first reduction since the beginning of December last year. There is not only a negative price development in the Netherlands, the VEZG quotation also fell in Germany. There was a minus of €3,50. The price therefore drops to €49,50 per piglet.
