The changes that the Dutch slaughterhouses have implemented this week are all in accordance with the change in the DCA Exchange Price 2.0: minus €0,06 on Friday, August 20. To illustrate the change that has been implemented, Vion reported this week that there is still an oversupply of pork in Europe. This is mainly the result of restrictions in other destinations due to the Delta variant of the coronavirus. This means that destinations outside Europe cannot be supplied, causing customers to postpone or even cancel their orders.

Move over
The moderate temperatures ensure good growth of the pigs, which means that supply remains depressed. In practice, it is still not possible for traders to place all their supply at slaughterhouses. An extremely annoying situation.

The movement in pig prices this week in Germany was positive. Prices there were able to maintain last week's levels. However, this does not mean that the concerns have disappeared. Because the supply of live pigs is also increasing in Germany and, as a result, passing on pigs is the practice. The weather does not yet really contribute to literally eating outside the home, which means that meat consumption is not getting any new impetus.

Unchanged
Most traders opt for unchanged pricing for the coming week. Although all the offers cannot be placed, she seems to be fed up with the decline. Every space offered by the DCA Exchange Prize 2.0 (Exchange) is occupied by the slaughterhouses. The trade is planning for the coming week in such a way that giving direction to the pig market will have to be done by the slaughterhouses. This means that the stock market price remains unchanged and is €0,97 for live pigs and €1,28 for slaughtered pigs.
