The DCA Stock Price will resume the stable price of the past few months in the new year. At the turn of the year, the market is dominated by calm.
Last week we headed that it was the Christmas recess and that period is not over yet. The meat processing industry will not restart until the middle of next week, while slaughterhouses will also start quietly in the new year. The high meat stocks provide scope for this.
Normal rhythm only in week 2
The market will not resume normal rhythm until the second week of January. Traders report limited space for placing fattening pigs for next week, but that has all been taken into account. For the new year, hopes are placed on the shrinkage of the pig herd in Northwestern Europe, which will probably cause the supply to dry up somewhat towards the spring.
For the time being, the supply appears to be sufficient to cover the generally tame meat demand in the first quarter. For week 1 of 2022, the DCA Exchange Price 2.0 remains at €1,19 per kilo for slaughtered pigs, while the price of live pigs remains unchanged at €0,90 per kilo.

| Explanation of the odds for week 1:
It will come as little surprise that the DCA Stock Exchange Price 2.0 will continue the quotation for live and slaughtered pigs in the first week of 2022 along the lines with which 2021 closed. Week 52 of 2021 offered little impetus for a price change. Whether there are opportunities for an upward price adjustment in mid-January 2022 will depend, among other things, on meat sales. In the coming weeks, the legacy of an adjusted slaughter pace of the last few weeks will have to be eliminated. Only then can the balance between supply and demand of pigs be drawn up. In total, the declarations for slaughtered pigs this week were 15 (0). A price was entered 15 times for live pigs (0). The numbers in brackets indicate how many assignments were missed at the bottom (negative number) and how many at the top (positive number). If there is a zero, all entries are included.
