Pork producer Pilgrim's UK, part of the American multinational Pilgrim's Pride, announces that Ivan Siqueira will immediately take over the managerial position from Andrew Cracknell. The latter announced earlier that he was leaving the company. Siqueira comes from the Brazilian meat processor Seara Foods and has more than 29 years of experience in the pork and poultry market. “We have great confidence in Siqueira, who has demonstrated his ability to accelerate business growth and increase profitability by creating innovative brands known for quality and taste,” said Fabio Sandri, global chief executive at Pilgrim's .
The appointment comes about two months after pork processor acquired Randall Parker Foods, a lamb processor. This acquisition fits in with the company's vision to expand in the animal protein sector. Siqueira: “I am proud to have the opportunity to lead a company that aims to bring sustainably sourced, high quality pork products to consumers in the UK. I look forward to supporting us in realizing our vision of providing the best and to be the most respected company in our industry."
