Due to the very difficult sales, the DCA BestPigletPrice will drop further this week. A bottom is not yet in sight.
Compared to the past few weeks, the situation on the piglet market is not much different. Sales are very difficult, both in the Netherlands and abroad. We have to wait for demand impulses to get the large supply of piglets up and running. But with broken slaughter weeks approaching, that's not in the offing. Certainly not now that pig prices are under great pressure, as it turned out last weekend.
VEZG stabilises, BPP further down
The German VEZG quotation remains at €45 per piglet this week, after the price fell sharply last week. Stabilization is not yet in sight for the Dutch listing. Based on the statements, the DCA BestPigletPrice decreases by €2,50 to €40 per piglet. This is the seventh reduction in a row.
