The Feed Logistics division of bulk carrier Nijhof-Wassink will take over the logistics activities of Landhandel Meyer from Bösel as of 1 October. The fleet of ten combinations and thirteen employees will continue under the name Meyer Agrarlogistik.
The acquisition fits in with Nijhof-Wassink's strategy to grow regionally and internationally in transport for the compound feed industry, says Martin Schoemaker, managing director Feed Logistics at Nijhof-Wassink in a press statement. Schoemaker: "It is a great step for both of us to join forces and to be able to offer our customers even more flexibility, service and efficiency. The current or former owner Ralf Meyer will remain associated with the company in a commercial role. As director for We want to further unburden our customers with bulk and general cargo transport."
The Feed Logistics division of Nijhof-Wassink takes care of the daily bulk transport of dry raw materials and additives for the production of animal feeds, such as proteins, milk powder, whey powder and vitamins, using more than four hundred combinations. The company also organizes compartmentalized transport for animal feed, fertilizer and bagged goods from the manufacturers to their agricultural customers.
