Reported a few weeks ago Boerenbusiness all that Brothers Fuite the new buyer van Gosschalk, after the financially troubled meat company had withdrawn the letter of intent with VanDrie Group. The VanDrie Group intended to take a 60% interest in Gosschalk, so Fuite wants to take over all shares.
Gosschalk recently ran into problems due to the bankruptcy of the Danish Skara Meat Packers, which was an important customer. The VanDrie Group was not prepared to provide financial assistance prior to approval by ACM. The deal took a remarkable turn when Gebroeders Fuite came forward as a buyer.
