News Sales figures 2023

Voergroep Zuid further increases sales figures

30 January 2024 - Wouter Baan

The declining animal numbers in our country do not prevent Voergroep Zuid from growing. In 2023, feed sales increased by 7% to 781.000 tons. Moreover, most of the growth has been achieved organically.

In recent years, sales figures at Voergroep Zuid have been all about growth and 2023 is no exception. The cooperative is achieving growth figures in all subsectors, although the tonnages are not specified per animal category.

In the cattle sector, sales grew by no less than 43%, but a large part of this can be attributed to the takeover of Van der Steijn vof at the end of 2022. Sales in poultry farming increased by 15%, just like last year, while 3 % more pig feed was sold. 2% more goat feed was also sold.

Team performance
General manager Ronald van de Ven speaks in a press release of a team achievement 'to be proud of'. He attributes the success to a strong focus on members' returns on the farm. The financial results will be announced later this year. The cooperative does say that approximately €1 million has been released to: loyal members to reward. This will be done in the first quarter of 2024.
