ACM approves takeover of Pali's slaughter activities
Compaxo may take over the slaughter of pigs from Pali Group in Geldrop. The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) decided this on Friday, March 1.

Pali Group closes the slaughterhouse in Geldrop, Brabant, the company announced in December 2023. The pigs will be slaughtered from April 1 at the Compaxo location in Zevenaar. That is good news for Compaxo as the company can use the extra capacity. Some of the staff will work at Compaxo.
15.000 pigs were slaughtered per week at the slaughter location. Compaxo will take over some of these activities at their location in Oss. The slaughterhouse did not receive permits for possible expansions and has problems with discharging waste water. As a result, the company has no room to grow.
