The pig market is not very attractive. In relation to the lackluster demand, the supply remains quite large.
This is also because export demand is not yet starting to take off, although some traders believe the market is at a turning point. However, it does not yet look as if the spring recovery is coming, as has often been the case in other years.
Sideways price movements are most consistent with the current market picture. The DCA BestPigletPrice remains at €49 per piglet. The German VEZG piglet price is unchanged this week at €59 per piglet.
