Reudink, the subsidiary of ForFarmers that produces exclusively organic compound feed, has purchased a new factory in Germany. It concerns a young production location in Lower Saxony, which is currently still in use for the production of conventional poultry feed.
The factory in Fürstenau, Germany, has a capacity of 40.000 tons and was built in 2019 by the current owner A.Ricke Agrar GmbH & Co. Reudink will convert the location and have it certified organic. There are also possibilities to further scale up the capacity. It is expected that Reudink will be able to supply feed from the newly purchased location from the second half of 2025.
With the takeover, Reudink thinks it can respond to the changing market. "We see the market demand for organic feed in Germany increasing", says Reudink director Judith Hofland. With the factory, Reudink thinks it can serve customers in Lower Saxony better and more efficiently.
The factory in Fürstenau will be Reudink's third factory in Germany. In addition, organic feed is also produced at the home location in Lochem.
