Piglet prices continue to look upwards, although the market is no longer rising as quickly as in recent weeks.
There are still too few piglets compared to the demand, but the resistance of pig farmers is increasing by the week. In addition, the wild Spanish export demand is also slowly decreasing, now that the supplement has become considerably more expensive in recent weeks.
Numbers above 60.000 that were visible in February are no longer achieved. The export figure in week 10 of 54.015 piglets was nevertheless almost 20.000 above the level in the same week a year earlier.
