The piglet market is still struggling with persistent pressure. Although the number of available piglets itself remains within limits, the lack of buyers is the biggest problem.
The 'problem' on the piglet market is well known by now: there is no buyer to be found for the remaining flocks. Not in the Netherlands and not in the surrounding countries. In terms of numbers, the surplus may not be that bad, but it does characterize the market.
Compared to last week, German sales are somewhat more difficult, according to the market. Spanish demand already left much to be desired.
At the moment there is no bottom in sight, although the price pressure is slowly decreasing. The DCA BestPigletPrice drops this week by €1 to €58,50 per piglet.
