Compaxo increased both its turnover and profit in 2024. This is evident from figures recently filed with the Chamber of Commerce.
Turnover rose by a sloppy 13% last year to €599 million, more than half of which is realised in the Netherlands. This results in a profit of €13,9 million, which is added to the company's reserves. This is more than three times as much as in 2023, when profit was under pressure due to increased costs.
Converted, Compaxo achieved a net profit margin of 2,3% last year. The company's solvency improved to 50% last year, which can generally be considered good. It is striking that the meat stocks that Compaxo had on its books at the end of 2024 were considerably lower than a year earlier. The annual report also shows that Compaxo was fined €270.000 by the NVWA last year.
At the end of 2023, Compaxo took over the slaughtering activities of Pali Group in Geldrop. This deal was effected in April last year, involving an amount of €5,5 million.
