The weeks-long downgrade of the DCA BestPigletPirce price ended in the first week of August. Piglet trading is still quite difficult, but that doesn't stop traders from pushing for stabilization.
The goal is to create more stability in the market. Domestic sales are gradually improving. Export demand is still sluggish, but that's fitting for this time of year when Spanish demand is at a lower ebb. German pig farmers are also not present in the market.
Traders believe the sharply depreciated prices reflect the current market situation and are therefore increasingly opting for unchanged prices. This allows the DCA BestPiglegPrice to stabilize at €46 per piglet this week.
