Vion stands alone in lower pork prices
Vion has again lowered its pork price by 5 cents. This reduction contrasts with the slaughter quotations of other major Dutch slaughterhouses, which remain unchanged.

With the new 5-cent reduction, Vion's price now stands at €1,55. This decision contrasts with the new prices of the three other major pig slaughterhouses. Van Rooi, Westfort, and Compaxo have kept their prices stable this week.
Vion is also a discordant figure from a European perspective. Both Danish Crown and Tönnies kept their pig prices stable this week, meaning Vion is now significantly lower than its major international competitors.
