Piglet sales are easier than in recent weeks. Demand is increasing again, both domestically and internationally.
There are no longer any surplus flocks hanging over the market. Traders indicate that demand for piglets is recovering after a difficult period. It's certainly not a huge rush, and the potential for higher prices is relatively small, as long as the pressure on finisher prices persists.
Nevertheless, several traders are opting for higher piglet prices. In pursuit of tight quotations, DCA has decided to raise the quotation by €0,50 to €40,50 per piglet. This move aligns with the seasonal trend of prices rebounding somewhat in the fall.
The Spanish piglet price is also on the rise, rising by €2 to €34 per piglet. The German piglet price continues to move sideways at €44 per piglet.
