24 November 2025 - Wouter Baan - 3 comments

The continued decline in pig prices has created tensions between piglet prices. What does this mean for the DCA BestPigletPrice?

Demand for piglets remains high, which is typical for this time of year. However, a rise in piglet prices (as we saw in early November) would not be logical, given the developments in the pig market, which are characterized by price pressure.

In fact, several traders are opting for a reduction. At the same time, a large group of traders is advocating for unchanged prices. Nevertheless, based on the average, the DCA BestPigletPrice will decrease from €0,50 to €40,50 per piglet.

The VEZG piglet price will drop this week by €4 to €40 per piglet.
