Feed Group Zuid saw a slight decline in feed sales in 2025, the cooperative announced. Despite a large number of people quitting, the effect on feed sales was "very limited" due to a positive customer base, according to General Manager Ronald van de Ven.
The company sold 767.836 tons of feed (including single raw materials) in 2025. This represents a decrease in total feed sales of approximately 1%, after achieving consistent growth figures in recent years. In its explanation of the sales figures, the company indicates that it experienced a 10% drop in customers, companies participating in the Lbv and Lbv-plus schemes.
5% market share
According to the Brabant-based feed supplier, its market share currently stands at around 5% and has grown steadily in recent years. Maintaining feed volume is crucial for maintaining production capacity utilization and maintaining a competitive feed price, the company states. Van de Ven calls the fact that feed sales ultimately declined only very slightly "a good result," especially considering that, according to the company, approximately half of the Dutch feed suppliers are located in the company's service area.
Last summer, the company announced in talks with Boerenbusiness already indicated that the volumes could be maintained well, but that this is 'hard work'.
