This is what the increasing regulatory pressure does with farmers

12 July 2017 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 11 comments

Governments are coming up with more and more rules for farmers. Dairy farmers in particular have seen more and more regulations in recent years. This has been the case for pig farmers for some time now. As an entrepreneur you just have to deal with all those rules. How do you do that? Dik Veefkind of Agrocoach explains.

This will help me, in the dark days that we as livestock farmers in Brabant experience..

Talking is the key, just like in my marriage

Laws and regulations are slowly but surely destroying the sector.
If there are initiatives that can offer a helping hand or tips, you will not hear me complaining. Karel... talk doesn't fill holes.

We are becoming more and more divided in society.
On the one hand, the workers who shape and flesh out their lives with their own hands and their own input and understanding.
On the other hand, those who want to regulate the interpretation of others by talking in work groups and writing reports, they think that they are more than the workers and that they need their intellect to shape society.
The "thinkers" vote mainly for the "intellectual left" (green left / D66) and feel the conscience of society.
It's a disease of affluence!
Simply put: lazy bastards who are too bad to go to work normally, but who have the arrogance to want to be in charge!!

Cheers!

Sad, so I have to talk again. A discussion once had with Mr Baks, unfortunately deceased, in the years '84/'85 the start that we were played apart as agriculture and still are! Unfortunately due to the many townspeople who have lost contact and do not want to know. There too people are too busy to keep all the balls in the air. Only those who should be looking look the other way. According to ill-considered and incorrectly substantiated data. But...They know!! While our soils are impoverishing and animals are better off than old people in their urban areas

Gerda,

See how high the frustration is with you, good that you write it off now. But talking is better.

I recommend doing this outside your company, so that you can get away from the matter.

Remember that forgiving and letting go are very important for relaxation.

Courage! and Success!

Dear people, provided I am not depressed as that person probably thinks. I am active in politics but the ignorance is too sad!!! for words. Keeping pigs is in your blood and yes it stings. How well my former colleagues are doing with regard to the manure problem and the quality of food, for and by animals for humans. But the politicians themselves do not realize that they are on the wrong track and that the increase in scale has accelerated thanks to politics. Through politics and then the market. That is sad. Continue Good luck everyone

Dear Gerda,

I can agree with your words but the level of politics and policy makers we have no influence on.
What we do have influence over is that we take the tools off their hands to tackle us.

We ourselves have turned a blind eye like dairy cattle and pigs and now the goats are also coming and then you can wait for problems with the government.
We flatly refused to renovate last year and think we can keep going with some technical solutions.

So no!! the solution lies in shrinkage and size control, all of which could have been arranged with exchangeable pig/dairy rights.
Now it's really too late and we get the gang all over us, derogation / vital pig farming plan / uri Rosenthal , all grandiose excuses to avoid the real solution.

Dear Gerda, we owe this to ourselves and I find it sad that it has come to this because this was not necessary.
