BB TV: Lubbert van Dellen

How do you recoup phosphate rights?

8 November 2017 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 7 comments

"In addition to phosphate rights, there are plenty of other issues that demand the attention of dairy farmers," says Lubbert van Dellen, agricultural director at Accon avm, in this BB TV broadcast.

"Dairy farmers who now invest in phosphate rights are doing so with money from third parties. The question is whether they can recoup the expensive rights when the milk price falls." Van Dellen leads the dairy farming group session on the National Economic Agriculture Congress on November 30 in Bunnik (Utrecht). Access is for subscribers of Boerenbusiness for free.

At the end of the eighties, the then director of Alfa spoke the same about purchasing milk quota.
Everyone knows how that ended.
Now the phosphate quota is national and initially for 5 years.
Dairy farmers were, are and will be bound by rules in the Netherlands.
Until the last farmer turns off the light.

Lubbert take it from me that the rights go towards €15.000 per cow.
The Dutch livestock farmer continues as usual. This was before the super levy, during the super levy and after the super levy (so now).
But also in 20 years. You don't change the genes 1,2,3.
And then Lubbert can tell a whole story about it, but it has no added value at all.

About 15 years ago he came to tell us at the Rabobank that we had to sell the land and buy back the milk quota.

where do you get that amount from? said 8000 seems like good money to me. what does that mean for land prices? look from me no answers because nobody knows, purely speculative.

If nobody sells below 20000 euros (milk quota price) per cow then that is the price, because buyers have to buy or use the barn inefficiently and turn a loss on the investment!

The worst thing is that when selling 10% is stolen by the state if they have abolished the milk quota for this legal framework, they are just crooks and they have to stand trial before the European court!!!!!

It's time for Van Dellen to really get to work. Lto is also such a crappy club that follows everything behind. Everyone suddenly knows how to do it, they could have done better in 2015, now it's too late. It is now every man for himself and don't take advice from third parties, just do what you feel like.

I wonder if these writers think economically, Van Dellen is right.
It would be best if the banks do not lend money for phosphate rights (air), then they do not pay that much.

Farmers who pay a lot don't bother you for long
