Less phosphate for the first time in 3 years

For the first time in 3 years, Dutch livestock farming does not produce more phosphate than Brussels legally allows. Pig and dairy farming contributed to this in 2017, through the reduction of phosphorus in the feed track and lower animal numbers. Cor Pierik, agricultural economist at CBS, explains the figures.
