FrieslandCampina allows milk price to fall further

29 January 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 9 comments

FrieslandCampina announces that it will lower the milk price for February. The stabilization in the dairy market could not prevent such a reduction and further declines cannot be ruled out. The reduction in February is lower than in January.

From the milk price comparison it appears that the milk prices of both FrieslandCampina and Arla showed an almost equal decrease. The milk price of DMK will be announced during the week. Meanwhile, the gap between the free milk price and the milk price still big.

In 2 months time back at a level where it all just works!

Sad, the way we are treated

It takes 3/4 years to rise, and in 2 months back to square one, from next moon there can be money again to keep eating the periphery.

They are now deliberately keeping the milk price low to temper the milk supply due to the phosphate rights.

They don't just pinch off the farmers, they treat their staff even less like cattle
Dirk 29 January 2018
Braams, you say, "they treat their staff even less like cattle".
How so? I'd like to know, tell me.
Bob 30 January 2018
I still wonder why the price of phosphate rights is still so high.
Karel 30 January 2018
As the milk price drops further, powder from the storage, the supply will automatically increase and the price will collapse.bob!!

Friesland Campina will soon pay off that new factory in Borculo! † Think just like the phosphate rights within 5 years.
Padre 30 January 2018
If the fraudsters do not collect the milk, then the price for the honest farmer can remain in the legs.
Bottoms 30 January 2018
Once again why was the milk quota also reintroduced 35 years ago. Exactly milk powder in the intervention butter in the intervention and years later given away for nothing to get rid of it for years no price for the milk because that mountain of butter hung above the market. History repeats itself because apparently nobody knows anymore. Not even our foremen are suckers.
