BB TV: Marijn Dekkers

'Repaying phosphate rights must be done in 5 years'

29 January 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 8 comments

"Dairy farmers wrongly compare the phosphate rights system with the milk quota," says Marijn Dekkers, sector specialist dairy farming at Rabobank Nederland. "Times have changed. They now also have to deal with financing, asbestos remediation, emission requirements in North Brabant, land-related rules and manure processing. That is why we opt for a 5-year repayment obligation for phosphate rights."

Dekkers also expects that the supply of phosphate rights will increase. Dekkers also discusses the possible calf fraud disclosed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality last week.

At ABN, it is repayable in 10 years, with the option of longer with good coverage. Those RAven and BOeven will therefore also extend their repayment term next week.

Think otherwise, the trade in phosphate rights will not start at all

Marijn tells the same story as six months ago.
He himself is not enterprising and then you get such convulsive stories.

Oh, repaying is not a shame
If you buy bread in the supermarket you also have to pay

What is wrong with quick repayments in business this happens regularly and is certainly not uncommon and if you do not see it possible you should buy them, you should not buy them it is all your own will

It's fantastic, isn't it: one cooperative lowers the price and the other squeezes financing. Nobody really can compete with how the sector is being managed. ABN AMRO and the free milk trade are getting blue knees from laughing

It's wonderful, such a pedantic cooperative. So much wisdom, no one can compete with that, right? I say that it is different for every company, so customization.

Well, the road from cooperative bank to entrepreneur bank is fully open!!

What a stupid story. Of course you have to take into account asbestos remediation, emission requirements in North Brabant, land-related rules and manure processing. You just have to make a long-term budget that includes all of this. But there are companies that don't have to do all this (anymore) because they already have everything in order. Now call because that all comes to your neighbor, you have to pay off quickly! makes no sense of course

Preferably pay off immediately
