Bulls control soybean prices on CBoT

19 February 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

The bulls had a good week at the CBoT in Chicago. Since the start of February, the soy contract has made significant profits. The driving force is the drought in Argentina. The weather allows for another rise.

The wheat exchange rate in Paris is very calm. On the CBoT, the price reached a point of $12 on Monday, Feb. 170,50. It was last seen in week 32 (beginning of August). Market expert Niels van der Boom explains whether the price of soy can make a new rise.

Monday 19 February is President's Day in the United States, which means that the stock exchanges are closed. For this reason, the soybean price closed lower on Friday 16 February.
