US budget deficit depresses dollar

Despite the fact that interest rates are expected to rise in the United States (US) in March, the dollar is under pressure. According to Laurens Maartens, currency expert at the Dutch Payment and Exchange Company, this is because there are concerns about government finances in the US.

Maartens also discusses the situation surrounding the British pound.
