African swine fever: how big is the risk?

African swine fever is on the rise in Europe. Several hundred outbreaks are now known in countries such as Poland and Romania. Willie Loeffen, specialist in the field of African swine fever at Wageningen Bioveterinary Research, discusses the outbreak risk in the Netherlands.

Loeffen also gives tips on how pig farmers can prevent African swine fever.
