'It is not surprising that the price of phosphate rights is rising'

June 28, 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 6 comments

"A substantial amount of phosphate must still be available," says Marijn Dekkers, sector specialist dairy farming at Rabobank. However, on the other hand, there is a lot of demand; especially now that milk prices are rising. Dekkers expects that buying pressure will probably decrease in 2019.

In conversation with market expert Wouter Baan, Marijn Dekkers discusses the situation on the world dairy market, the ability to finance phosphate rights and trends in the land market.
