Seed potato area rises to record level

20 July 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 1 reaction

The preliminary figures of the 2018 Agricultural Census show that most arable areas have shown growth. "It appears, for example, that 6.000 hectares more barley has been grown and that the seed potato area has increased to a record high," said Cor Pierik, agricultural spokesperson for Statistics Netherlands.

If the acreage in some crops increases, this soon means that there must also be acreage reductions. Where do they take place? In this episode of BB TV Facts, Pierik also discusses the most striking cases from the preliminary Agricultural Census 2018.

too much money has been produced, so we can't do anything with that anymore. Now it is to be hoped that enough gold has been produced, otherwise the price will rise.
