Special Crop tour week 31

Foliage shows greenery in Biddinghuizen

7 August 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 7 comments

The progress on the plot in Biddinghuizen is clearly visible with the recently made drone images. Every 2 weeks a drone is flown over the plot, in order to visualize the growth of the crop.

The maximum temperatures measured in the past 10 days did not fall below 25 degrees Celsius. There were even visible peaks of 32,6 and 31,4 degrees Celsius. The plot has been irrigated 4 times so far. In addition, it appeared from previous trial harvesting that a yield of 44,7 tons per hectare has been harvested. That is 0,5 tons above the average (44,2 tons) of all parcels participating in the Boerenbusiness Crop tour.

Sorry... But this lot is all worn out, isn't it? A few more green cups.... So you can see that everyone interprets the image differently!

throw those drones away.
buy a fork and look under it, what interests me is that foliage at a height of 10 m.
potatoes we want to see

Potatoes also among the other lots!
We know that everything is top notch in the polder. There are more processing potatoes outside the polder, so show some of that!

Unfortunately DCA does not get much further than Lelystad and the surrounding area and we have to make do with that.

In addition, Aviko's yields were clearly not too bad (34 tons against 39 tons at the five-year average). Is this really the reality? Where were these samples taken?

With all the trial harvesting, the yields are not that bad
They only disappoint where they don't do trial harvesting
But that shouldn't be said too much
The market simply has to be talked down so much credibly
Otherwise the farmers will stir too much
When will everyone wake up

We want to contract as much as possible for next year, so everything we can give cheaper for free can be added next year at the contract price. maybe the contract farmers need a little support too!!
