'We were helped with 1,3 million kilos of phosphate'

2 November 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 32 comments

Innovative uit de Knel believes that Minister Carola Schouten (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality) has dropped them like a brick. Dairy farmer and bottleneck Anno Zeilstra says that the bottleneck can easily be helped without endangering the generic discount (8,3%).

If a farmer builds a barn, you take the risk yourself. Real bottlenecks are mainly caused by illness of the farmer or livestock
Bob 2 November 2018
If there are phosphate rights left, let's (partially) reverse the generic discount
Then it will benefit everyone, we are all a bottleneck!!!

More livestock seems to me to be good for manure sales prices in the future

you would have invested in a new stable yourself, then I think you would talk differently, nothing more than normal that the wrongful phosphate that has been allocated to the wrong group goes to the bottlenecks,
Bob 2 November 2018
I've bought quite a bit of land, so also a pinch?
Only building a stable is not sustainable, that includes land!!!

burke Brabant 2 November 2018
I doubt whether you can compare buying land with building a new stable that can only be half full, no matter how boring it is for you, you can grow crops on your land or have it grown so that you still have a full or partial return, even if you it is impossible for strongholds to be able to sell some land again, everything is easier than to tear down half a new stable and then get the new-build value back in return
Bob 2 November 2018
You can sell your business if you can't build it,
I think everyone was convinced that something was coming and a certain group did not listen to that and looked too deeply into the glass, then you have to sit on the blisters and not complain.
farmer Piet 2 November 2018
what will happen to those farmers who have brought in loads of cattle with insider knowledge? The NVWA can check this at the touch of a button.
Bert 2 November 2018
In the past, the quota bought in the stable was enlarged, land and phosphate rights were purchased, and that always with not too large steps.
I hope I say enough with this, so stop complaining.
Buy rights just like the rest and otherwise go do something else

I am a pig farmer, what strikes me is
not me and the rest can suffocate.
if everyone is fair and something like this happened to themselves, I think they would also like it if rights were distributed fairly,
it would be to the benefit of the cattle keepers if they would say en masse that tight-fitting arrangement must come, expand it yourself with farmers who have had illness or something, as I understand there is 2 million kg misdistributed, this seems to me enough to help everyone, if If that's not enough, then let the generic discount go up a bit.
before I get a shovel of filth from those who have received enough rights, just think how you would feel if you were cut yourself too much

Dirk 2 November 2018
All sad enough, I just don't understand how you could distribute this phosphate, after all, the beef cattle are still there. It is a pity that action was taken so late, I myself remember that somewhere in 2014 I sent a stable builder off the yard who came to ask if I should not start building. Told him that I was not going to build a stable with the chance that nothing would be allowed in at once. Depends on what kind of bubble you were in and how you looked at the end of the quota era.
Hertha 2 November 2018
Meat farmers who have sold phosphate rights should no longer be allowed to keep beef cattle, and those who are in trouble could buy rights at cheaper prices by converting pig rights from stopping pig farmers into phosphate rights and possibly skimming them over it. win-win situation for 3 parties (Pig, Cattle Farmer and Climate.)
Bob 2 November 2018
Boerke Brabant, it must be over at some point, always keep those cowboy's hands above their heads.
If there is phosphate left, fine, then give it back to all dairy farmers.
arable farmer 2 November 2018
And later whining again that the manure sales are becoming too expensive!!

But yes, LTO wants the best for dairy farming

2 million kg of phosphate over , divided by 800 pressure cases is an average of 2500 kg phosphate per pressure case. 2500 x 300 euros is 750.000 euros.
So this group believes it can claim gem. 750.000 euros in phosphate per "pressure case" that I and everyone else handed in. My stable is now also empty for 25%, I will not immediately go bankrupt because I have not taken those unprecedented risks, but I have also invested in stable and land in recent years. Those investments are not repaying themselves either.

So if there is phosphate "left over", it has to go back to everyone who has handed in.

so there is again nice disagreement. all this because of the derogation that the lto bank and dairy so needed doen.ik have never participated but am also severely punished. abolish the derogation. then everyone can fertilize the same amount and there is no discrimination among the farmers.
the bottlenecks could also not help that there was a plea date. 1% has been reserved for this. but not yet promised because of government blunders.
Jorge Knipshear 3 November 2018
I have also inflicted a damage of 200.000 euros on me by municipal employees and arrested by many people to take even an amount away from me. And I can't get anything back. be happy that you have a partner and children. I had a borderline partner, then everything is gone, my friendships, joys in my sustainable business, gone planning a bright future. But I can wish everyone from my heart a happy new year with lots of love and I am proud of that. Love cannot be bought, but it must be given to you. 2019 I give someone my love and I will find love

With us, the debt per liter of milk has become considerably larger because I cannot yet follow my former milk quota so I am also a bottleneck debt per liter is 1.40 was 1.20

Father, tell me what, we've had the discount for a long time. and for everyone is less annoying, but for some even worse,
someone who has invested a lot without knowing what was coming, is in my opinion harder caught than the average dairy farmer. I don't think we should let this happen in our country
Henk 4 November 2018
Did you know that "innovative out of the pinch" also includes farmers who have already cashed out by selling the milk quota and now they want to cash in again by allocating phosphate rights.

there's work to be done. to filter out all premeditated growers. I think it should work for the most part. I know cases where this is not the case, there is almost a sign for sale in the garden
Bob 4 November 2018
Dijksma warned in November 2014 that the phosphsate ceiling was in sight and that the livestock would be limited if it was exceeded
She also wrote that you should not anticipate any arrangement as had happened with the milk quota.
I believe that the investments that have been made have been made by people over the age of 18, so you can assume that they know what you are doing.
I can't imagine they signed it under pressure from a bank.
I think those farmers had blinders on!
So they have to bear the risks themselves.
This is the same as gambling in the Casino.
Karel 4 November 2018
Red for Red scheme still exists and the phosphate rights are expensive,
So hurry up and move abroad.

These farmers cannot realize their dream, but they really won't go bankrupt if they stop. Crying out and starting over is the best remedy. We farmers need to learn that less is often more. It is better to have fewer animals in the Netherlands and cost-effectiveness such as large-scale manure processing can be dispensed with.
Not growing 4 November 2018
Many milking robots have been sold or leased, throw them out quickly and start milking yourself! This way you can nicely reduce the cost price, if you don't want that, you can also keep suckler cows (no rights are required for that).

This man shouldn't be whining so much
Rights are for sale, grab them or get rid of them!
Are you ready for once?
Padre 5 November 2018
Boerke Brabant Most distressed farmers have acted knowingly and I know many who have signed quickly because something was coming. There is no need to get caught up in illness either. I was also out for a few months. The company assistant did the work in the barn. So the animals just stayed there. If the livestock has been under disease you can prove this by submitting vet bills and delivery notes from the destructor and there is an arrangement for this.
And everyone else has acted knowingly and not everyone has to bloom for that
Shorty 5 November 2018
Consciously investing myself in something that is not self-evident and realistic in advance, I can hardly see it as a bottleneck.
bacon steak 5 November 2018
still don't understand that, even if only for the bottlenecks, pigs/phosphate cannot be exchanged, even if only once

for 7,4x250 = 1850 per pig right I would like to sell a few I now have 10% left because of the better life concept.

Our minister has let go of the milk quota. There each wanted only one thing to grow and grow . Too much fertilizer too much phosphate. An ill-considered plan. I am still amazed every day that this could have happened. And now no one wants to give up. Wasn't necessary. Each farmer could also have been given a few percent. few problems.
