'APK obligation does not hinder agricultural traffic'

19 December 2018 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 3 comments

In January 2019, the bill regarding the MOT obligation for agricultural vehicles and the registration obligation will be presented. However, this does not immediately mean that farmers will have to deal with the APK inspection or a tachograph. How that works, explains vehicle specialist Hero Dijkema of Cumela.

It surprises me that a tractor that can go faster than 40, is subject to an MOT, but is not allowed to drive faster than 40.
Should this tractor then be technically regulated back to 40?
If I don't return it, what will be the consequences?
When can you go faster with your tractor?
What about, for example, a self-propelled machine, an agrifac condor, is it allowed to be 50? And should it be inspected?

The maximum speed in the Netherlands is 130 km/h
There is no one who has his car repaired for that reason.
You just get a ticket if you drive too fast.
So in a residential area where 30 is the max is also not harder.

Put a c/e driver's license on it above 40 km. Because that really helps safety to a higher level.
