'Farmers can earn from carbon credits'

22 March 2021 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 8 comments

Since this month, the Netherlands has a new bank richer: the Rabo Carbon Bank. Carbon credits are the currency of this bank, which agricultural entrepreneurs can earn with CO2 reduction and storage. Barbara Baarsma, the brand new CEO of Rabo Carbon bank, explains exactly how that works in an exclusive interview with Boerenbusiness.

Africa solve the problem with a few marbles and a mirror
If you have a problem with too much CO2 in the Netherlands, you should also solve it in the Netherlands
Making Africa the drain of Europe is very easy

Then we better stop the food production here, they can probably do that better in Africa....or is it something different?

in Africa everything is on paper in the Netherlands it is better arranged
and if they can't capture enough CO2, they just have to pay more

Unbelievable, a Rabobank that lectures its Dutch farmers about sustainability!
While the same Rabo bank invests hundreds of millions in thoroughly corrupt Ukraine, especially for the construction of broiler barns without regulations and rules regarding the environment.! They can mess around with penniciline there as much as they want! These are real broiler chickens, exported directly to the Netherlands! THANKS TO THE RABO BANK and Ms Baarsma.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a bad story this is. Almost as bad as Mrs. D66 Baarsma herself. It's just starting to get scary, all those hypocritical D66 pickpockets on the top positions of the banks.

Mrs. beardsma. Please provide a cost-benefit analysis showing the earning model for the farmer. If I look at GOs for green energy production, they are now still worth a fraction compared to 1-2 years ago.
if that becomes the development of the carbon credits, I have to see what remains of your revenue model for the farmer. Please hard numbers!
