The whole of the Netherlands has recently become aware of her: Member of Parliament Caroline van der Plas wants to put farmers and the countryside on the map with BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB). "Contempt for members of parliament seems to have become normal", but she does not intend to be cornered by Rutte - or anyone for that matter.
In an exclusive interview with Boerenbusiness Van der Plas tells about the extremely hectic first weeks in The Hague and what she wants to achieve in the next 4 years. In any case, she believes that 'how we deal with green space' must be considered. "We are very concerned that everything is being dumped in the countryside: homes, mega-solar parks, wind farms, data centers, distribution boxes. And that is happening at such a fast pace that we are afraid that the green space will soon be gone."
