Lowest acreage of silage maize in more than 30 years

In Twente, after the Second World War, silage maize was grown for the first time in the Netherlands. There was an upward trend for a long time, but the acreage of silage maize has reached its lowest level this year since 1987. We are looking at this development with Cor Pierik, head of Agriculture at Statistics Netherlands.
