Wheat futures market pushes through to 280 euros

25 October 2021 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

On Friday, October 22, the wheat contract on the Matif closed at 280 euros per tonne. The highest price since November 2012, which then started the decline. At the moment, however, the futures market is not losing its strength. The higher input costs for the coming season play an important role in the rising price.
