"A lot is going to happen on the land market"

8 October 2022 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 15 comments

The nitrogen ideas that Johan Remkes has put forward have a major impact on the land market. Jos Ebbers, chairman of the agricultural and national sector at NVM, expects 'a lot' to happen on the Dutch land market. Ebbers considers it impossible to buy out peak loaders within a year. He is, however, enthusiastic about a land bank, which Remkes opts for. In the meantime, land prices continue to rise, says Ebbers in conversation with Wouter Baan.

I think so too. This prophet doesn't know either. Interest up, borrowing capacity down. Return on the bank higher again. Those money from the government are quickly used up, most that are bought out don't want to do business in this country anymore, I think ;(
