Wheat quotation jumps after grain deal ends

Russia has once again managed to surprise the grain market. There was plenty of speculation in the trade about extending the grain deal with Ukraine after mid-November. Hardly anyone had foreseen that Russia would withdraw completely prematurely. The effect on the wheat exchanges in particular can be guessed at.
