Entrepreneurs are going to feel pain slow motion inflation

17 December 2022 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 1 reaction

The central banks of the euro countries, the United States and the Bank of England have further raised interest rates in recent days in the fight against inflation. The strong message from the ECB was particularly striking. Edin Mujagic, chief economist at OHV Asset Management, expects inflation to moderate in the coming months. But in practice, entrepreneurs will actually feel the pain of inflation more during that period. He calls this slow motion inflation in a conversation with Eric de Lijster.

What do you mean 'Slow-motion' raw materials/semi-finished products went up like a rocket and are currently falling brick. Prices of tractor tires have already fallen by 20% compared to the top! I think then, another person from the attic who thinks he knows something about the economy and has never been part of it himself. To me, the verdict of the local construction worker is worth many times more. Have a nice Sunday
