Transport makes Russian wheat more expensive this year

European and American wheat exporters face stiff competition on the world market. Ample supply of relatively cheap wheat from the Black Sea region and a record harvest in Australia are putting pressure on wheat prices. Due to rising costs for transport on the Black Sea because of the war, Russian wheat is becoming more expensive.
